Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! – Chapter 2: The hand of mine is small and frail

Well yes!

I wanted to test how fast I can translate a chapter of this series over the weekend. Well, the language is definitely not easy but I think a got a good grasp on a possible release speed. ๐Ÿ˜€

I am still looking for a dedicated editor for this one. Sadly, simple spell checking and grammar check will likely be insufficient. It took me 2 hours to TLC/Edit it myself and I still think it doesn’t flow that well even as I hit the limit of my English language knowledge. I think this novel deserves a proper edit to do justice to its rich and decent vocabulary. If you are a challenger, who is very fluent in English and possesses a rich English vocabulary, feel free to contact me at [email protected].

Well, the next chapter will probably take a while as I got other stuff on my plate for now, but this novel looks like a keeper, so look forward to more of it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 17: Performance at the Martial Arts Tournament

Heyas folks,

here is the first of the 2 queued extra interludes. It is the last interlude of the “Living in the capital” interlude arc.

This interlude has been fully sponsored by Michael A., please extend your thanks to him.

It is edited by me as my editor Kruncs is enjoying the good weather and hosting a barbecue party! He will very likely edit it later, so if you can’t cope with my Engrish, feel free to wait a bit. ^^

The next interlude is long as well as the next chapter, to be released next week Sunday. I will try my best while also translating other stuff to keep some refreshing changes going. ^^

Greetings,

Shasu

Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! – Chapter 1: Listen up! Read the newspapers

Phew,

it’s difficult to translate but fun in its own way. Expect this series to be handled as side project for a little while longer, but I intend to make it a weekly series in the near future, especially if the chapter length remains this way. ๐Ÿ™‚

The author switches between the story views quite erratically, thus I marked the peddler’s thoughts in italic.

Continuing from my editor recruitment post, this is one of the series where I have no editor at all. And unfortunately this one really needs an editor in my opinion. Well, for now it is self-edited, so feel free to point out any errors. ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t ask about the next chapter, I will release it once I get a little gap in my schedule which I hope will be soon as I like this series.

Cheers,

Shasu

Recruitment: Editors

Heyas folks,

somehow I feel it hasn’t been long since I was looking for new editors. But somehow the number of editors in our group has decreased instead of increasing. I wonder whether I am this difficult to deal with? Oh well, time for new challengers then, I guess. Fufufu

I also changed the requirements a bit this time. Or rather I changed the entire process as well. And yes, it’s as the title says, I am looking for editors and not one editor.

Let’s plunge into what I am looking for:

  • Availability โ€“ In the week: Evening European time or afternoon American time. Available to be contacted on weekend.
  • Language skills: Native. I am sincerely looking for only Britons or Americans/Canadians. Of course that includes natives living in another country. A rich vocabulary is very desirable as your task wonโ€™t involve simple grammar/spelling checks.
  • Skype is a MUST โ€“ All communication goes through that.
  • Reliability โ€“ If you say you will do something, you are expected to do so. Of course everyone got RL stuff going on, but the least to be expected is a heads up in that case.

Well yea, I removed the age restriction. I guess even an ossan group has to follow the trend!

Now as for the process:

If you are interested in joining our group as editor, please edit the current chapter 25 of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou!

Feel free to send in the edited chapter to [email protected] as Libre Office Document or if that isn’t available as Google Document link. Time limit is one week from now aka until Monday the 6th June 11:59 pm GMT. We will check the sent in edits and then contact you, no matter whether it is a fail or a success. Feel free to ask questions via mail, albeit pointless questions will be ignored.

One advice: It helps to check the current translations and the glossary.

I am looking forward to your application as editor! Don’t be shy and help the novel community to flourish! ^^

Greetings,

Shasu

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 44: The overwhelming reward

Konbanwa minna-san,

today you get another chapter about the exploits of Wendelin and his group of happy troopers!

As Kruncs-dono has been busy iRL this weekend, you will have to deal with my self-edited version! If you can’t handle that, you might want to wait a few days until our local editor takes a look. Though I feel confident this time… probably… I hope? Well if you find any errors, feel free to point them out as usual. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, I was enjoying my weekend! It is edited now, so enoy! ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Kruncs)

Please extend your thanks to Garit for re-editing chapter 17 of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! We are getting closer to being done with it! ^^

The next regular chapter will be released on Sunday the 12th June. I will start working on the extra interlude this week as most of my time this week went towards this chapter.

Lastly, I always welcome some donations! Although this might sound shameless, but we translators are normal people as well… I think?

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 16: Night before the Martial Arts Tournament

Heyas folks,

surprised to hear from me this soon again? Well I am too…

Today I bring you the second of the 3 cued extra interludes of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou!

Please thank Nico Z. for enabling you lot of leechers to read this story!

Also, as always, Kruncs, the undying editor, has worked his magic on my grade-school English!

The last commissioned interlude will also be the last interlude of the “Living in the capital” arc. It is slightly longer and thus nothing I can translate quickly. But I will try my best to get it out to you guys as soon as possible.

Lastly, I forgot before, please extend your thanks to Garit for re-editing chapters 13-16 for better reading experience. I must stress that he is a really eager and diligent worker at this thankless task and deserves all the gratitude you can offer him!ย

We also decided to push back the PDF version until we re-edit all chapters up until 26 as the chapters 16+ really give you a brain meltdown at times. Once we are done with that, it will be easier to focus on the PDF/EPUB versions.

Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de – Chapter 29: It seems to be an encounter

Heyas folks,

here’s your dose of Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de!

We are headed into the finale of the first arc of the series. Let’s see how the author intends to finish it up!

Please extend your thanks to Kruncs for editing this on a short notice! Poor Kruncs is being worked to the bones by me, so expect an editor recruitment post soon again! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The next chapter will be released on Sunday, the 5th June.
