Quite the busy castle…

 

Well for those, who don’t want to listen to my little rant, just click the link above and be done with it. For the rest, who can bear with me for a few lines, feel free to drop comments below.

Well I could start with mentioning how I’ve got no editor for this series, but I guess I won’t keep bothering the unwilling. Anyway, I just wanted to mention that I like the path the author is currently taking with this novel. The first 40ish chapters were mostly only slaughtering and with Kasha’s death there was a choice of going for an even more powerful enemy (shounen like development) or to go down the serious route (seinen). Unfortunately the author at first chose to try the former option which many readers criticized as getting boring, rightfully in my opinion as mere slaughtering can stay interesting only for a while, if there’s nothing else. But luckily the author has lately reverted his decision, apparently, and gone towards more world building, which gives this a deeper touch (yea, yea, some will now say “You are a world building nut anyway”). Going by the titles of the next arc we are heading into some quite interesting developments. So I’m really looking forward to this (yea, I’m not reading ahead!). Thus, if you think the same way as me, I would be happy, if you could drop some positive reviews on Novel Updates as people usually only comment if they have issues with a novel, but I don’t think that’s fair towards the novels usually. After all I’m translating this series and the other two so that as many readers as possible can read them. ^^

Oh, a short notice: My sickness has revived, so I don’t know how well I will be able to translate this weekend, but I will try my best.

Heyas folks,

since I’ve been ill the last 2 days and got bored rolling about in bed, I remembered about the extra chapter sponsored by the INT Patrons I still owe.

Usually that would be Summoned Slaughterer but since my mind needed something easy to translate, I simply finished off chapter 51 of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! I’m pretty sure they won’t actually mind anyway. :p

The last part is actually a good read too, though the author was a bit mean and ended it in a kind of cliffhanger. Oh well, if all goes well, I will start on chapter 52 this weekend.

Heyas folks,

I had to take a short break last weekend due to RL, but now I will continue with releasing parts of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! weekly again (I hope).

This week’s part was cut at a place of a change of the plotline even if there is no paragraph by the author. I will split this chapter in 3 parts. Fortunately it isn’t that long, so this much should be sufficient.

The chapter has been translated by me and edited by Kruncs!

Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! – Chapter 14: Remembering how to fight

This was one of the more difficult chapters with really complicated language and sentence structure.

Well it introduces another character, though this time a rather interesting one. ^^

Also, a reader pointed out that the author uses Finnish names as basis for naming his characters. I personally like such naming schemes and as such I will change all the names in this series appropriately once I get to it. I used it for the name of the character in this chapter already by the way.

A short notice: My recent irregularity in releasing chapters for this series’ isn’t because of me losing interest but because my load at work has increased. As I usually translate the weekly chapter during the weekdays, it will naturally fall flat if I’m too exhausted to do that. I will try to keep up the weekly release, but don’t blame me for missing out sometimes.

If all goes well, next week will be 2 chapters released as there is one extra chapter sponsored by our patrons.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 50: Attempt to develop the Savage Lands – Final part

Heyas folks,

been a really short chapter, eh? The last short one for a while *sobs*

In this part the author jumps around a bit in the time line without explicitly splitting the parts. Thus it may be a bit confusing, but be assured, I was confused too!

After this chapter there are 2 or 3 interludes and an omake coming up. After that there won’t be any for a long time. Though with me translating Hachinan chapter parts every week and the other 2 series, I’m not sure when I will be able to work on the interludes *sigh* Really sorry for that, but nothing I can do about it.

been a while since the last chapter of this one, which I find truly unfortunate as it is the number one of the 3 series’ I’m translating for me. However its difficulty, which is also its charm, paired with my weekly exhaustion from work makes it slightly difficult to translate it regularly.

Nevertheless, I’m not going to give up! 🙂

I will try to release the next chapter Saturday next week.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 50: Attempt to develop the Savage Lands – Part 1

Heyas folks,

sorry for the one week delay on the releases, I had some errands to run iRL on the weekend, so I had no time to translate anything. Well, now I’m back (though I still haven’t read a single online web novel chapter for 2 weeks now, kinda scared of the backlog).

This chapter is significantly shorter than the previous one, thus I split it into two parts with part 1 being pretty much exactly at 50%. The next part should follow next week, if all goes as planned.

By the way, the suffix -uji means Mr./Mrs. but it’s more honorific than -san, I think.

Also, Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! will continue from next week on as well. That one is difficult to translate and with me being quite exhausted from work over the week, I had to use at least one day a week to not actually do something productive. Though I guess I won’t get it translated if I don’t sacrifice my Saturday, huh? xD
