Heyas folks,

here’s the last part of this interlude. I also added the illustration from a previous chapter here because it is the right place. With this we finally finished this entire Kurt arc (I hope xD) *phew*

I will release Omake 2 tomorrow and the next regular release of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! will happen next Sunday, if all goes as planned.

Some may still remember, but 4 months back I tried to embed some anti-theft protection on this blog. As this didn’t work out well and was a solution that caused more problems than it solved, I stopped doing it.

This time I implemented a function (thanks to GM Rusaku), which is more reader friendly as it requires only little effort to not be affected by it and that’s only limited to those using mobiles or the Firefox reader to read the translated chapters.

I won’t try to justify this measure because it’s my blog, so I decide the roadmap for it. But what I want you the readers to understand is that even if I and other translators don’t have a legal license (in most cases at least) to translate these novels, that still doesn’t diminish the work put into the translation itself (I wouldn’t be surprised if I put more than 100 hrs into translation/editing and releases in my vacations the last 2,5 weeks, to give you an idea). These translations are offered to you for free (I don’t demand any payment and won’t ever do so, I don’t hide my chapters behind adfly walls and I also don’t use ads on this site).

I actively support sites like Novel Updates or Reddit, as they make my chapters available to many without actually taking the content for themselves.

However I don’t support those, who scrape the content from my and other translation sites, claim it to be their own work and make money with that.

If you want to call me a hypocrite for that, so be it, I don’t really care. I like translating and I like making it available for readers, but I hate people taking advantage of the work I put into things.

I’m sorry that you, the readers, are getting in-between an ongoing dispute between translators and aggregation sites, but complaining to me will be, in my eyes, barking up the wrong tree.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 23: The Rückner brothers – Part 1

well I promised you to release the interlude today at latest, but it’s frigging long. xD So you get it in 2 parts, though this is already the bigger part of it. 🙂

The interlude itself is a bit novel, because the author doesn’t use a specific PoV like usual, but rather does a mix of narration and first-person-view. I marked the thoughts of Minister Rückner in italic. There will be a PoV change in the next part, but I will mention it then. 🙂

Feel free to point out any errors etc, this release is edited by me, so there will probably some mistakes or not so smooth expressions.

The last part of this interlude will be released on Saturday and Omake 2 will follow on Sunday.

Without further ado, you get part 2 and 3 of chapter 53 today. Took me about 8 hours to write down the wall of text. xD

One more thing before that though, please, if you can, help me find out whether I missed any characters in the Glossary. The glossary should only contain those, who’re actually alive during the time-line of the story, though. If you find some character or information, I missed, just reply to the Glossary and I will update it. I could check through the chapters myself, but well, I’m lazy? :p

Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! – Chapter 16: This is already a decided matter

another chapter of this decent series. This time from Akseli’s point of view.

Also, this time it is even edited by an editor!!! Although belatedly, welcome Marco aboard the team as editor. In the past weeks he had been post-editing the previous chapters of this series and now, that I finally managed to TL a chapter with a bit more time than 2 hours before release, he edited it for me :3

This leads me right to the next point: In Germany we have this weird tradition of having good intentions for a new year and trying to firmly achieve them. My intention is to release chapters of Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! every 2 weeks on Saturday. I’ve been struggling with this until now because of the difficulty of the translation itself, but I shall motivate myself and give my best! Thus the next release will be on 14th January, look forward to it. 🙂

And here’s the new chapter!

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 22: The cornered Kurt

Evenin’ folks,

as promised yesterday, another interlude of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou!

This time it’s the final appearance of everyone’s beloved Kurt-sama. There’s a few things to say before that: The Japanese language uses words/kanji to show emotions attached to a sentence sometimes like doubt, like, dislike and such. Naturally there’s no corresponding thing in western languages. For the sentences, where Kurt shows his contempt, I used derogatory language. Also, if you think “Ah, that guy’s dead anyway, no point in reading this” you will miss out on some insights, so preserve!

Also, I changed the illustration in Interlude 21 after Raufgar pointed it out.

Interlude 23 will be released next Tuesday, the 3rd January, Omake 1 will follow the day after. I will release parts 2+3 of Chapter 53 on Sunday, the 1st. In exchange there won’t be a release on Sunday, the 8th.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 21: First exploration of the Demon Forest

Heyas folks,

first off, apologies to those, who donated for interludes, for the long time it takes to get them done. Unfortunately I haven’t much time in my schedule during regular work weeks. As it is, I’m currently releasing 2,5 chapters per week (all my series’ of course, not Hachinan only), add to that RL and you will understand how difficult it is to work on anything additional. Thus I usually do mass releases of Interludes during my vacations. Hope you guys can forgive me for that.

Thus, though it’s a bit late, thanks to Asvan for enabling this interlude.

It is written from Luise’s PoV.

I will try to get Interlude 22 done until tomorrow, though no promises with those text walls. Interlude 23 and Omake 1 will follow next week.

Though it might sound a bit like money-grubbing, but if the donations reach up to another interlude until Friday next week, I will translate Omake 2 within these vacations. Reason for me stating this is: After Omake 2 there are 9 regular chapters, Omake 3 and then 10+ regular chapters. So there won’t be many Interludes/Omakes after Omake 2 for a while.

Lastly, hovering over unknown words with your mouse sometimes gives a tooltip. ^^
