Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 49: Stay at the Baumeister territory and Kurt’s troubles – Part 1

Heyas folks,

here we go with part 1 of this stupidly long chapter with almost 2k lines in the raw. Sorry for those, who expected Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! yesterday, but I’ve been too tired. The current summer-like heat is only causing me to be a sleepyhead, which is also why I didn’t manage to translate as much as I wanted of this chapter. I feel like I wanted to write something more, but I forgot…

Oh well, whatever.

Ah yea… before I forget… I’m still looking for editors… though I guess I don’t mind running most of the show by myself either, now that I’m already doing it for a while…

The next part will likely be released next weekend on Sunday… Ah before anyone asks, part 1 is 26% of the chapter.

>> Well, enjoy <<

Shasu

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 48: Achievement of the request and the chaos at the Baumeister household – Part 2

Heyas everyone,

here’s the last part of chapter 48. It isn’t overly long as I finished the majority last week. Well I also started on chapter 49 today but ended up getting exhausted by it… it’s the same length if not even longer than this chapter, thus I will probably split it in 3 parts this time.

I added the fourth illustration to this chapter as well. Quite a few illustrations for just one chapter…

There has been something I wanted to mention about the MC’s speech patterns. If the MC uses descriptive language the sentences are most of the time accompanied with “it seems that”, “I heard that” and such. If he talks about actions he often uses “ended up doing blah.” This stuff repeats itself soooo often that I simply leave it away as it is most of the times a plain pain in the ass. Though you might take this as hint of the MC being indecisively guided by the circumstances and largely influenced by hearsay.

Lastly, I made a page on facebook for those interested in following our translation group there, feel free to visit it here. I will fill it with life overtime, though you got to give me a bit time until I get used to it :3

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 48: Achievement of the request and the chaos at the Baumeister household – Part 1

Evenin’ folks,

first off, no I won’t say sorry for the delay. There was a shitload of complaints I wanted to write here, but I’m kinda too tired to do that now, so whatever… Let me just tell you this much: 4% of translation took me around 1 hour and this part 1 is at 85% of the entire chapter. I now really know why LN translators break their chapters into 5+ parts…

Thus, my advice is to get a coffee and a good chunk of time to read this chapter. Ah, I will finish the chapter sometime during the week, depending on my work, though at latest next weekend.

On a brighter side: I made a facebook profile for this group to a.) make it easier to follow the releases since everyone seems to like facebook and b.) spread the word of great Japanese web novels out to those, who aren’t yet addicted. So, help out and follow us here!

Oh, and accessing the old wordpress blog won’t help much. Best solution is to follow this blog! 😉

Well, enough from me |>> Enjoy! <<|

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 20: Sorcery Guild

Heyas folks,

one more interlude from my owed extra interludes for you to read. Another marathon as it was a bit long (as usual with this novel). Well, this time, it is slightly lighter than interlude 19.

I recommend to read the note at the beginning of the interlude too.

The next extra interlude is already paid for, but even though Asvan might chew me out, I will have to postpone translating this one for a bit. One reason being that my vacations are over next week and the other reason being that interlude 21 takes place after chapter 50, thus I put a little lower priority on it currently.

Thanks to the anonymous donor who enabled this interlude!

>> Have fun! <<

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 19: The depression of Baumeister family’s eldest son

Evening fellow readers,

in something like a translation marathon of round about 10 hrs, including the editing, I managed to finish Interlude 19 as next extra interlude for you guys. One more interlude and we are caught up with the storyline (Interlude 20 is after chapter 44 iirc).

This interlude has a nicely dark touch, so twisted people, like me, will probably like it. However, there are a few notes you should know before reading:

 • First off, I think the author fucked up the tenses majorly in there. He used almost always present tense/future tense (not separated in Japanese) while talking about past events and likewise used past tense at some parts that should be present tense. I took the liberty to fix it because otherwise the whole thing would be a pain to read, though I don’t claim to have gotten all of it right. xD
 • Another thing, Kurt calls his father “oyaji” which also can be translated as “old man.” I think it has a bit of derogatory touch to it but I still used father. Just remember that part (only exception is when he calls him “dad”). Towards the end Kurt’s language gets rather derogatory all together but it’s expressed in the nuances of the Japanese way of talking rather than directly swearing as such. So take the whole thing with a pint of salt.

Extend your thanks to Asvan, Raymond R. and an anonymous donor for giving you this chapter.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Interlude 18: Sequel after capturing the Underground Ruin

Heyas everyone,

here’s one of my owned extra interludes. The interlude completely follows the PoV of Burkhart.

I welcome any spelling/grammar corrections as this one is completely edited by myself once again. Somehow I guess this message is getting kind of redundant slowly… xD Oh well, so many readers and not even 0,001% considers applying as editor, kind of sad, isn’t it… ?

All of the older chapters have now been edited by Garit and Zazabooze! Chapter 23 and 24 still need some checking with me being the bottleneck here. But, great thanks for the nice work to the two of them! Both have started working on the book versions of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou and Garit will become the editor for Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo!

Extend your thanks to Asvan and Teafa for making this interlude possible!!!

>> Enjoy the interlude! <<

On another note: After listening to the various comments of the readers about my copyright measurements and considering it for a bit, I decided to cease the extra work of impeding the copying of content. At the same time, I decided that if a series’ readership should drop gradually due to people reading the chapters I translate on other sites, I will simply drop the translation of said series, no question asked. Saves me the trouble to bother with trying to protect this blog’s content and allows you, the readers, to decide yourself whether translations will go on.

Also, in the last days I had to read quite a few insulting and swearing comments. I don’t mind people stating their opinion but I do mind if people get personal over it. Such people will be immediately banned. There is a page called Rules of Conduct and I would be glad if everyone follows the rules written there. Otherwise I will simply disable all comments on the blog.

Greetings,

Shasu

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 47: Once again Klaus – Part 2

Phew,

now that was once again a bulk of text to write. Took me around 15 hrs for writing and checking altogether. xD

Kruncs will likely check it once he gets back, thus you have to put up with my edit until then.

I added a text anchor at the start of the chapter page, so you can easily get down to the end of part 1.

The next chapter, 48, will be released in a little less than 2 weeks, on the 21st August, if all goes well.

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 47: Once again Klaus – Part 1

Heyas folks,

only one week remaining until my vacation! :3

And some people filled up the interlude cue to the brink! Well so much for my vacation… XD

Ah, yea, this chapter is probably the longest I’ve translated so far. Probably, because I’m too lazy to check. ><;;

Well Part 1 is 25% of the actual chapter but it had a good point to stop at, so well…

Also, please help out with completing the Glossary, if I missed any characters, locations or special terms in the Glossary, feel free to point them out and I will add those. Thanks~

This chapter was edited by myself as Kruncs is still enjoying the sun n’ beach.

Thanks to my patrons, Asvan and Dark Josh supporting this series!

>> Here you go! A slightly early release by 1 hour cause I felt like it. :p <<

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 46: Coming home after a long while – part 2

Heyas folks,

I rushed and did a 9-hours-marathon for you guys to read the next and final part of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou!

As Kruncs-san is enjoying his well-deserved vacation, you are stuck with my own editing. And, I can ascertain you, after 9 hours of translating in a row, I didn’t feel like fixing anything else but spelling errors.

Thus, if you find errors, feel free to point them out and I might fix them at work tomorrow.

The next chapter will be next week Sunday, though I might split it up once again if it’s that long.

Also, rejoice! I’ve got vacation starting from 8th August for two weeks! I will use that time to stockpile some chapters and finally give you your extra interlude. For those of you, who are cunning, you are free to fill up the extra interlude cue as you please, I should be able to get all of them done during my vacation. xD

Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! – Chapter 46: Coming home after a long while – Part 1

Hello folks,

before I get to today’s release, I feel like I have to vent some anger.

Having read the the comments at another translator’s novel translation, I realized there are some people who think it is alright to steal other people’s work and put them up on their site without even having any permission to do that.

Now I do know that this topic isn’t anything new as I’ve seen the thread on NU forum but after checking out the offender’s site today, I was saddened and disappointed that there are such people.

In the first place, we, the translators, already have a problematic standing as we don’t have any official license to translate these novels (otherwise it would be quite easy to bring down such site with legal claims). But I, and I think I can talk for the other other translators on this too, put in a lot effort into translating, editing, releasing and running my site, so that you, the readers, can enjoy the novels.

Therefore, a person or people stealing the content to use it for their own site and, to top it off, claim the content to be their property is the lowest thing someone could do towards someone else’s work.

Of course I could ignore the theft, but I don’t feel like doing so. Thus, I considered my options.

With wordpress.com those are pretty much limited. To avoid site scrapping bots to do their work, the easiest way would be to use JavaScript or such to cloud the content, but that isn’t possible here. I’m no web hacker to know all tricks and gaps possible to use, therefore I decided to use the sole tool available to me with wordpress.com: Password-protect each chapter release in the hope that the bots won’t be able to simply grab the content. The passwords will change with each release.

This will be a heavy blow for binge readers, I know. But, if you want to blame someone, then blame those who take other people’s work lightly.

Of course, I’m open for other suggestions that would work with wordpress.com and are easy to implement.

Well, enough of that for now.

Chapter 46 of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! is longer than the previous chapter. Thus I decided to split it apart into 2 parts once again. The second part will follow next weekend.

Please extend your thanks to Kruncs for editing it for your reading entertainment!

Also thank Zazabooze for re-editing chapters 21 and 22!

The password for this chapter is Artur
