a short notice before you get to read the new chapter:

Upon my pleading Marco took it upon himself to write up a Glossary for The Spearmaster and the Black Cat. Please extend your thanks to him for his meticulous work on that and check it out here!!!

You will find that a few things have been changed as we checked the raws at some parts that were not clear or doubtful in the previous translation. As mentioned in the comment at the top of the Glossary, those changes will be ongoing as there seem to be few discrepancies, or let’s call them very liberal interpretations, between the raws and the previously translated chapters.

Heyas folks,

I saw in the comments for the last release that some of the readers are unhappy about me using a mild version of Shakespearean English for the new character Therese. Well, sorry for that but I won’t change it unless some native English speaker shows me a better way to express an archaic language style. The author went out of his way to add some individuality to a character after all.

Criticizing is always easy, but being part of the solution is much more preferable than being part of the problem.

I’m always open to suggestions in that regard (especially as I have no native English editor for this series even after asking quite a few times in the past), otherwise I will keep at it until the author decides to change her speech pattern.

Heyas folks,

sorry for the delay. Originally this one should have been posted on Saturday but as I’ve been the last days down with the flu and basically only posted what I had in stock anyway, this one took me a bit longer.

Now for two additional news: First, I decided to up the release rate from bi-weekly to 3 per 4 weeks, meaning Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! will become monthly and this series will fill out the remaining spots. Starting with 10th March.

Second, I uploaded chapters 1-4 on this blog as the original translator’s site doesn’t host them anymore. No, I won’t edit them. It’s just a re-post. I won’t change anything there. It’s just for those wanting to read the series from the start but having problems using google to find chapters. You will find the chapters 1-4 here.
