I’m soon going to become an adult, and to match that, it’s planned for my wedding ceremony with Erwin-sama to be held. When it comes to marriages, the husband and wife are busy running around to prepare everything. But, Erwin-sama is a chief vassal of the Margrave Baumeister House and thus very busy with his duties. Hence, I must do my best to cover for him as his future wife. This is what you call a wife’s duty, according to Haruka-sama.
Dominique-nee-san and I took advantage of Master teleporting and headed to Candy-san’s tailor shop in the capital. I ordered a wedding dress for my wedding, so I had to come in to try it on.
As I watched the custom-made wedding directly in front of my eyes, it finally hit me that I’m going to be married soon.
“How beautiful…”
“It’s a big moment that only happens once in your life, Lea-chan. I sewed the dress for you while pouring my heart into it.”
“As expected of you, Candy-san. You’re a very skilled tailor. Ah, but there are also people who don’t keep it to once in their lives.”

Given that Haruka-sama and Anna-san were very busy with the preparations for my wedding ceremony, Dominique-nee-san and I went out to the Baulburg branch of the flower shop run by Cindy-san’s family to check on the flowers that would be used for the ceremony and the banquet.
Since we informed them in advance of our visit, Cindy-san waited for us at the store and handled our business.

It’s just as Cindy-san says. Speaking of famous mountains in the Baumeister Margraviate, there’s the Great League Mountains. That place is infested with wyverns and other flying dragons.
It’s not a place where you can easily pick flowers, and the number of days until the ceremony is limited, too. Also, because there’s a lot of other preparation to do, everyone is busy.

Doushi-sama promptly decided to collect some Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s. He put Dominique-nee-san and me, who could actually move relatively freely until the ceremony, into a huge basket he took out of his magic bag and then flew off to the south while carrying the basket.

Cindy-san came after us with her flight magic, but for him to fly even faster than her while carrying the basket with us two…nothing less of Doushi-sama.
Let’s have a thrilling trip right before the wedding──though you usually wouldn’t let a bride head out to pick the flowers for the wedding by herself.

“Are you okay, Dominique-nee-san?”
“I’d rather question why you’re so unperturbed, Lea.”

“Lea-san, I think you’re perfectly suited for being Erwin-sama’s wife.”
After a flight time of a few hours, we safely arrived at our destination. It was really fun to cut through the wind while watching the abundant nature below us.
Because Cindy-san continued to fly at full speed in order not to lose sight of Doushi-sama, she looked quite exhausted, and Dominique-nee-san’s face was pale as well. Since the basket, which Doushi-sama used to transport us, didn’t shake much at all, I didn’t feel sick or anything.
“Dominique-nee-san, are you bad with heights?”
“I’d love to know anyone who’s not bad with such a height…ah, there’s one right in front of me, huh…?”
Was it that frightening? Watching a flock of deer dash across grasslands that looked like the sea because of the wind was kind of like being on a sightseeing tour. That’s fun, isn’t it?

Doushi-sama appears to be able to fly as fast as only a few of the best magicians can. Cindy-san apparently was only barely able to keep up with him. Moreover, Doushi-sama flew while carrying us as luggage.

“They’re truly dominating the summit. Their beauty doesn’t betray the rumors about them either.”
This mountain wasn’t all that high, and as it seemed that no monsters or wild animals were living on the summit, it had apparently become a paradise for Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s.
Surveying the summit, golden-shining Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s were blooming all over the place.
“Lea and I still have more things to prepare for the wedding ceremony. We will gather the Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s as quickly as possible and return to the mansion afterwards.”
“Ah, but you have to wait until midnight to pluck the flowers which can be used during the ceremony.”

“The golden glow, the most prominent feature of Sparkles of Newlywed Wife, only occurs during the one day when the flowers bloom. We set up tents on the summit…Doushi-sama took out two, one for the women and another for the men, out of his magic bag. The tents were awfully new, and just when I thought they were awfully modest in their equipment, with a focus on practicality, I heard they were a trial product that Master made for merchants.
It sounds like Master has even been dabbling with camping equipment.
The tent for the women was big enough that Dominique-nee-san, Cindy-san and I could easily lie next to each other. Since it didn’t let the wind in at all, it was nicely warm, too.
“Lea-san, we’ll be able to wait until night without getting cold.”
“When it comes to a mountain summit, the nights are cold.”
“Everyone, I grilled some meat!”
When we stepped out of the women’s tent, Doushi-sama had built a hearth out of ricks, lit it on fire, and grilled thinly sliced wild boar meat, which had been marinated in soy sauce, on top of a hot iron plate. He was truly skilled at this. He also grilled veggies alongside the meat, but Doushi-sama ate only meat for the most part.
“Doushi-sama, wouldn’t it be better to also eat the vegetables?”
“”Dominique, your character truly resembles that of Elise!”
Because Doushi-sama is a very self-centered person, he doesn’t really listen to the opinions of others. But this is also a key component of who he is.
“I will grill this here as well!”
“Intestines?”
“I carefully processed the boar intestines and pickled them in especially spicy miso!”
“You made them, Doushi-sama?”
“No, when Margrave Baumeister was running experiments, I had him give me some because it was delicious when we sampled it together.”

Food tastes great when you camp like this and sit around a fire together with others. It’s a rather sketchy menu…no, I think this sort of menu actually fits the occasion best.
“Let us make a dessert.”
I borrowed a frying pan, which Doushi-sama usually didn’t use, albeit having it in his magic bag, and made flambe.
“Whoa! Flames are flickering across the pan! How exciting!”
“The alcohol in the rum is burning, so you can eat it without worries, Cindy-san.”
“A warm dessert is quite unusual!”
“We eat it at the mansion while garnishing it with Master’s ice cream. The combination of warm fruits and cold ice cream is exquisite.”
Since we don’t have any ice cream with us, it’s just a warm flambe. But, given that we’re on top of a chilly mountain, eating something warm is better for our bodies.
“Ooohh! No wonder you are marrying Erwin! It is truly delicious!”
“I’m a maid, after all. This much is no problem for me.”

I was somewhat skeptical when he suddenly brought us here in order to collect Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s, but I got to camp, eat outdoor food, and watch the beautiful Sparkles of Newlywed Wife’s as well as stars. It has become a truly lovely memory.

Master looked very jealous after hearing about our little trip. But, if it’s camping, he’s doing it a lot when heading out as an adventurer, isn’t he? Or is there some sort of difference?
“There is a definite difference between camping when working as an adventurer and setting up a tent, lighting a fire to make your own food, and spending the night while gazing at the night sky.”

Sure, the camping was fun, but is it that different from camping that Master and his friends usually do? In our case, you can also see it as us having fun, since we camp so rarely.
