Mmh, my fingers are itching to translate the next chapters. Seems the story is picking up its pace.

Well, I will see if I will toss in some additional chapters of this series’ during my vacations. Priority goes to scheduled stuff and overhauling the blog though.

Been a while since the last chapter for Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! Well, yea, I know, you didn’t miss it overly much but I really like translating this one. Though its density and archaic way of writing prose is sometimes quite a hurdle, it’s the challenge that counts! ^^

Heyas folks,

another 2 weeks passed and it’s time for a new chapter of Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! The PoV is the same as last time, Wilma.

Now, 2 things:

First, I updated the Glossary, so feel free to check it out if you are uncertain about some names or locations.

Second, the next chapter will be released in 3 weeks time from now. Why? Because I want to get it in tune with Maou no Utsuwa, which I will be translating in cooperation with Ainushi and Cnine. In other words, there will be a chapter each Saturday, alternating between Maou and Kakei. Next week will be too quick for me as the next Kakei chapter is a bit longer as well, that’s why the next chapter is scheduled for 25th March.

this is the first chapter of the new arc. And this time I managed to TL it well ahead of time so that Marco could edit it!! 😀

The PoV is from a new character. And the story seems to progress by leaps and bounds. Or how do you say it usually, “the plot thickens” ?

Heyas folks,

finally got to finish this chapter of Kakei Senki wo Kakageyo! This chapter marks the end of the first arc (called First Act by the author). Well these acts are equal with the Light Novel’s released, so you can also rate it as end of volume 1 of the Light Novel. The next story would be an interlude. But, well, you know my relationship with interludes… so yea, let’s skip that.

What’s interesting is the way the author finishes this arc. Chapter 1 (which is the real start of the series’ as chapter 0 is more like a prologue) starts with Lauri’s view and the title is about newspapers as well. And the last chapter of the arc is  Lauri’s view as well with such title. Well, nothing major, but I like such small details. ^^

Same as with Summoned Slaughterer I have no illustrations of volumes 2 and 3. I have no problem buying them as digital copy on some Japanese site but only if you provide the funds (you can use the donation button at top of the left sidebar as no one ever uses it anyway). 😉
