This second part mostly covers the content of chapter 95 of the WN, so you can probably skim through it. There are only few changes.
However I must say the pacing is much better with the Light Novel. It actually makes me enjoy translating the series again. Chapter 2 majorly diverts from the WN, so you should definitely read from there, if you skip around after I switched to the Light Novel version.

Heyas folks,
as announced in the previous week’s release post, I’m starting over with the beginning of volume 10 of the Light Novel for Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou!
The volume starts with the liberation army moving southwards after the battle in the Great Sorbid Wastelands, aka chapter 95 in the Web Novel. For this and the coming chapters, I will add a note a beginning to explain the major differences between the Light Novel story and the Web Novel story and the new characters that have been introduced in the Light Novel. Please do understand that I can’t address each and every little detail. I will only stick to the major points that matter to the plot.
Well, you will see that the differences aren’t all that big.
This chapter will be split into two parts (normally it would have been 4 parts) so as to catch up with the part where I stopped the WN as soon as possible.

Heyas folks,
first off an important announcement, so take a short moment to read it.
Lately I have seen many comments from readers being unhappy with the author dragging on the Empire arc like this. To be honest, I have been fed-up with this arc for a while now, too. As such I decided to make chapter 98 the last chapter of the web novel I will release and at the same time I will start working on volume 10 of the Light Novel.
Volume 10 starts at chapter 95 of the WN and covers the entire content up to chapter 111 (well it cuts out most of the unecessary stuff while at it).
Naturally, taking up the LN will increase the probability of me being asked to take down the whole series by a publisher, be it Japanese or English (if one gets the licence for it). But I guess that’s a risk I will take. There are plenty of other good novels out there if it does happen.
Please notice that I don’t plan to go back and translate the previous LN volumes at the current point in time as that would take too much time. I haven’t checked the previous volumes, but going by the illustrations they have followed the story line of the WN more or less, with some additional content here and better phrasing there.
As I’m going to go ahead with the LN, I’d like to ask for one or two editor(s) to help me out with it. If you are an English native and interested in helping on a longterm, contact me at [email protected].
